Final Fantasy XV: Assassin’s Festival, the DLC of the unusual encounter between the Final Fantasy and Assassin’s Creed franchises, is full of bugs. The content, which came free on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for those who already had Final Fantasy XV, has problems like attractions that do not work, lack of communication and invisible walls that prevent the advance in the game.
The bugs were reported by the writer of Tecmundo, Leonardo Rocha. “The least disturbing faults involve attractions of the Assassin Festival that seem to be open early on, but simply do not work. Activities like the ‘catch the flag’ game are only unlocked after you advance to some extent in the story, something that the game does not warn beforehand. A more annoying defect is the Chocobo race, which works well the first time after being unlocked, but prevents some players from trying a second time, “he says.
But this is nothing close to the limitations in the scenario. “During a specific mission in DLC history (details of which I will omit to avoid spoilers), you receive the mission of chasing a character while running away from various enemies. It would not be a problem if, during the chase, open corridors you were supposed to pass through were not blocked by invisible walls, “he says.
During the ground chase, you can even overcome the bug if you persist until you can do offensive translocation on one of the enemies behind the invisible wall. But then there is no way. When it comes time to jump over the rooftops of Lestallum, there was no way that Leonardo could get past the obstacle.
“I was totally blocked from completing the DLC and did not even get to unlock all the minigames of the festival, which threw a bucket of cold water in my mood with the crossover,” he says. Now we will have to wait and hope for an update correcting the flaws until the end of the month when the event will be closed, “he laments.
The problems, of course, were not found only by the editor. In forums like Reddit and GameFaqs, there are several reports of people facing similar bugs (see here, here and here, for example). It is worth noting, however, that not all of them were affected. In the videos below you can also find some demonstrations of the defects:
