Darkest Dungeon, XCOM, Hearthstone and FTL serve as inspiration for this retro-futuristic proposal
PC users through Steam can start playing and discover the strengths and weaknesses of Deep Sky Derelicts this afternoon. The proposal, described as a turn-based and role-playing video game enriched with elements of combat with roguelike cards and mechanics, takes the player to a dystopian universe of inequalities and retro-futuristic comic-book aesthetic classes.
As a stateless scavenger, the player has to seek citizenship – which allows to live on beautiful planets – and leave behind a life of extreme poverty, exploring and plundering “abandoned” alien ships that are not without dangers in every corner. As you advance in the game, surpassing levels of great replay thanks to the procedural generation of the levels, the user can improve the equipment of his character among numerous customization options.
Those responsible for the video game are the independent Finnish studio of Snowhound Games, with 1C Company in editing tasks, and define their production as the meeting between Darkest Dungeon, XCOM, Hearthstone and FTL: Faster Than Light.
Its final release is set for the end of March 2018.
