A medieval environment provides the basis for many fantasy roller-skating games: fighting against dragons, learning magic and chasing witches. All this, however, does not require “Kingdom Come: Deliverance”.
The game , presented at the Gamescom video game (23 to 26 August), is intended to represent historically correct life in Bohemia in the early 15th century.
“Kingdom Come” is based on a true story – the people and events of the game should have taken place at the time. The village of the fictional protagonist Henry is burnt down by bandits.
According to the developers, this should actually have happened. In order to present the historical events correctly, the Czech developer Warhorse Studios has hired a historian.
The game principle is based on quests: different characters give the protagonist tasks to fulfill. How Henry comes to his goal, however, is completely left to the player – for almost all tasks there are different solutions, which have different consequences.
“Kingdom Come Deliverance” will be released in February 2018 for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Windows PCs.
