The company has seen an increase in revenues of 175.5% compared to the previous year.
This morning we told you that Nintendo Switch is already touching the 15 million video game consoles sold, and now we can talk about how this affects the commercial revenues of Nintendo for the three fiscal quarters that ended on December 31, 2017.
In them, the Japanese company has obtained gross income for a value of 7,900 million dollars, an increase of 175.5% over the same period of nine months of the previous year. Net profits have also increased by 31.3% to reach 1.2 billion dollars.
This, of course, is mainly due to the success of Nintendo Switch and its 14.86 million video game consoles sold, but also to a software of which a whopping eight games for it have managed to sell more than one million units.
The Japanese company, however, still sees how digital remains a scarce source of income for them. Yes, they have obtained 397 million dollars of digital downloads, 87% more than last year, but still accounts for only 5% of their total revenues.
