The firmware update is now available in some countries.
If you have a PS4 Pro but have not yet done with a UHD 4K resolution screen to take advantage of it, you will be happy to know that firmware update 5.50 includes a new resolution rescaling system using supersampling. This technique allows us to enjoy an image quality equivalent to 4K playing from a screen with a lower resolution.
For now, the patch is in the beta testing phase and is only available in some countries, as is the case in Poland. While the players of PlayStation 4 Pro celebrate the arrival of this technology, which was already available in its competitor Xbox One X, Sony warns that its use could affect the rate of images per second in some cases.
