Even though Valkyria Revolution was not the most remarkable chapter of the series, SEGA did not give up investing in the future of the series. The company has launched a teaser that promises novelties for fans eager for a “New Project Valkyria”, details of which will be revealed on the 20th of this month.
So far, the initiative remains surrounded by mysteries: all that the site launched by the company reveals is a fund full of frozen mountains. So, we’ll have to wait to see if we’ll see a direct sequence of Valkyria Chronicles or whether the developer will work again with a spinoff.
The Valkyria series made its debut in 2008 on PlayStation 3, being transported to the PSP in its sequences (Valkyria Chronicles 3 has never officially gone out in the West). The latest release is the spinoff Valkyria Revolution, which hit stores in June this year with versions of PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PlayStation Vita.
