We could get to see some more modern RV helmets in the future.
Two new patents from Sony, collected by the web VR Focus, suggest that the company would be interested in offering new controls for PlayStation VR.
One of these patents shows a control system similar to that currently offered by PS Move, with a single control lever on which our thumb would rest and several buttons placed around it. By carrying one in each hand, we would emulate a much more traditional command.
The other patent has not been shown in the image, but it would have been registered in 2017 and it would be related to a new virtual reality viewer , which on this occasion would have cameras capable of following the movement of our controls – and that would alleviate the current problem of a camera that loses the track to the control.
Sony has been trying for some time to squeeze the potential of this technology with PS VR. By the end of 2018, it is expected to have a catalog of more than 300 games among which is the discreet The Inpatient , so it is expected that we see innovations of this kind in the future.
