Xbox One X recorded a very positive launch week in the UK: 80,000 units of the product were sold in the region during its first 7 days in stores. According to the Games Industry website, the number is similar to the performance achieved by the Switch and far exceeds the 50,000 units of PlayStation 4 Pro sold during the same period.
Naturally, it is necessary to take into account the inventory of each device at the time of its launches, something that is not always disclosed by the manufacturers. Even without that number in hand, it seems that Microsoft’s platform is proving quite attractive to consumers who want the more powerful hardware to run their games.
Microsoft chief marketing officer Aaron Greenberg commented on his Twitter account, adding that similar numbers have been reported across Europe. He also stated that the console’s performance with Premium features was even better in the United States, but did not disclose the exact sales numbers so far.
According to Games Industry, the games most sold to the platform during the last week are Call of Duty: WWII, Assassin’s Creed Origins, FIFA 18, Forza Motorsport 7and Forza Horizon 3. In Brazil, Xbox One X is currently undergoing the pre-sale phase of its “Project Scorpio” edition, whose official price is $ 3,999 – the console officially arrives in the country on December 15.
